Solar lighting for Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d’Or

The VERTICALIS solar lighting luminaire combines heritage with a sustainable future

On the outskirts of Lyon, Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or, designated a City of Art and History, takes pride in its architectural and landscape heritage. In this charming village, every plan for development must balance respect for the past with sustainable innovation.

In this context, SIGERLy (the Syndicate for Energy Management in the Lyon Region) asked Schréder to recommend a lighting solution for the Clayette car park. Our obvious choice was the VERTICALIS; an aesthetically pleasing, efficient and environmentally friendly autonomous solar lighting solution.

Solar luminaires adapted to a heritage site

With its elegant linear design, the VERTICALIS luminaire incorporates vertical solar panels for a discreet and harmonious integration into the landscape, even in locations without an electrical grid. Designed in collaboration with Architectes des Bâtiments de France to meet the site’s heritage requirements, the solution features a bespoke colour that stands out from standard RAL colours while blending in with the natural and historical setting of the village.

Connected lighting to respect biodiversity

The luminaires are connected to motion sensors: the lighting remains on at 10% at all times and increases to 100% when movement is detected, ensuring safety, visual comfort and energy efficiency.

To preserve our dark skies, minimise light pollution and protect nocturnal wildlife, a colour temperature of 2700K was chosen. This warm light evokes a cosy atmosphere, reinforcing the traditional atmosphere of the village.

This solar lighting project in Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or blends the village's historic character with the latest sustainable technology, created a safe and pleasant ambiance for all.
