Privacy Notice - SCHREDER CIRCLE LIGHT APP

  1. Purpose and scope

Schréder SA, a global company with headquarters in Belgium, at Rue de Lusambo 67, 1190 Brussels (“Schréder” or “we”), built the Schréder Circle Light Application (the “App”). The services performed by these App (the “Services”) are intended for use as is.

This Privacy Notice for Schréder Circle Light App (the “Notice”) outlines the types of information, including Personal Information[1] we collect in relation to the Services (together referred to as “Information”), how we use them, to whom we may disclose them as well as your rights in relation to your Personal Information. This Notice is specific to the App and complements the Schréder Privacy Policy, which applies in addition to this Notice.
 

  1. Collection and use of Information

In order to provide you with the Services and provided that you accept, the App will access the files and media, camera, location, NFC and Bluetooth features of your mobile device. Such access is strictly limited to provide you with certain Services: scan QR codes of luminaires and drivers, program luminaire drivers, store related data, update location information of the luminaire/driver, read and access luminaire and driver information and store log information in relation with the above services.

We also use your location data in order to show on the map where your device is located, for updating driver/luminaire information on Schréder database. Only location data of drivers and luminaires are stored by us.

When you program a driver, a log file will be created and stored by us, with your userID, the date of operation and the serial numbers of the luminaire and of the driver.

When you use the App, we will only store (1) tokens in cache with your user name and session settings while the App is running and (2) information from your last successful user session (user ID, last login date and user group) while the App is in offline mode.

In addition, the Apps use third party services providers that may collect additional Information. You will find more information and the privacy policies of such third party service providers here:

Should you experience any issues with the Apps, we will collect log data in order to correct such issues and improve your experience. These log data include information such as your device model and language, your device operating system version, your country, and other statistics which do not include Personal Information. These log data will be collected through our third party services providers as listed above.

No other personal information is stored by us.
 

  1. With whom we may share your Information

In addition to the third parties listed above, we will share Information with the services providers we hire to provide services to us or on our behalf for the following purposes:

  • To facilitate and improve our Services;
  • To provide the Service on our behalf;
  • To perform Service-related services; or
  • To assist us in analyzing how our Services are used (based on usage statistics which do not include Personal Information)

These service providers are prohibited from using your Information for any purpose other than to provide their assistance, from sharing Information we disclosed to them and are required to protect your Information.

We may also share your Information as follows:

  1. Law enforcement purposes: We disclose Information if requested or required by government authorities (such as law enforcement authorities, courts, and/or regulators) or otherwise to comply with a legal obligation. In addition, we also disclose Information collected in order to exercise or protect legal rights or defense against legal claims.
  2. Fraud prevention: We disclose Information when disclosure is necessary to investigate, prevent, or respond to suspected illegal or fraudulent activity or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, others and/or us.

We will not share, sell, license, trade or rent your Information to or with any third party (except as stated above) without your consent.
 

  1. Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that is transferred to a visitor's computer or mobile device and that stores information for future visits such as your language preferences or your log-in information. In addition, cookies let visitors navigate efficiently between pages and generally improve visitors experience.

The App is only using essential Cookies which can be found here. Should you refuse certain Cookie, we will not be able to provide you with certain portions of our Service.
 

  1. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Information. Therefore, we use a set of technical and organizational measures (such as encryption mechanisms) which protect appropriately your Information. We also limit access to your Information to persons who reasonably need access to it to provide you with the Services.
 

  1. Links to Other Sites

To the extent that the App contain links to other independent third-party sites, these links are provided for convenience, general reference and interest only. Should you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Please note that Schréder does not review third-party sites, is not responsible for them and such third-party sites are not covered by this Notice. Consequently, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy and Cookies Policies of these websites.
 

  1. Children’s Privacy

The Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect Information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with Information, we will immediately delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child(ren) has provided us with Information, please contact us enabling us to take the necessary actions.
 

  1. Your rights

Upon certain conditions set by Applicable Data Protection and privacy Laws[2], you have a right, among other, to correct/rectify your Information if it is inaccurate. You may also request that we delete your Information or cease processing it, subject to certain exceptions, and you have a right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate authority.
 

  1. Updates to this Notice

From time to time, Schréder may modify this Notice to reflect changes in our practices and our legal or regulatory obligations. We will communicate any revised version of this Notice by posting it on the App. Any changes to this Notice will be effective from the time they are posted, except as otherwise required by Applicable Data Protection and Privacy Laws.

This Notice is effective as of 2021-12-01.
