Schréder’s first Sustainability Report rewarded 2 prizes by the Awards for Best Belgian Sustainability Reports

Organised by the Institute of Registered Auditors, these awards reward and encourage organisations to report transparently on sustainability issues. The winners were announced at this year’s prize ceremony on 29th November in Brussels. For this 21st edition, Schréder was awarded the Best First Sustainability Report and Sustainability Report Best Linked to the 2030 SDGs Agenda.

Jean Schréder, a loved and admired member of the Schréder family, died on 15th July 2022 of a terrible illness, at the young of 73. Jean was the 4th Chairman of the Board of Directors, and left an indelible mark on our company during the 20 years of his presidency. We send our deepest sympathies to all his family and friends.

Schréder decides not to take part in Light+Building 2022

We have decided to not participate in any international trade fairs in the near future, including Light+Building to avoid extensive international travel and a large carbon footprint. We have decided to privilege smaller local events and trade fairs which will enable us to connect with you in a more sustainable way.

For 3 months, Sibelga in collaboration with Schréder, carried out an innovative smart lighting project in Bois de la Cambre, Brussels. From 1st February 1 to 29th April, the light output of 72 luminaires was no longer adapted to a predefined schedule but on data collected in real time. This data was not captured by sensors installed on the luminaires but through online databases on the Internet.
