Structural and Thermal Simulation Engineer
We are looking for a:
Structural and Thermal Simulation Engineer - in Liège, who will support the Schréder Group R&D teams by simulating mechanical designs.
Missions
- Perform and document mechanical and thermal simulation projects to support R&D teams.
- Collect and analyze input data
- Select the appropriate model complexity: from feasibility study to production model
- Perform results analysis and communicate to non-experts
- Propose design improvements
- Setup and maintain simulation templates database
- Create and troubleshoot generic analysis templates
- Update them according to software / methodology changes
- Model and correlate experiments
- Evaluate model accuracy and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Evaluate model accuracy and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Maintain Schréder Group simulation expertise
- Be aware of the simulation software market
- Identify and evaluate software opportunities for Schréder
Scope

- Collaborate with all the Schréder development centers
- Collaboration with all R&D group department
- Collaborate with external supplier / Research centers / Universities
Required knowledge and skills
- Engineering Sciences master's degree (mechanical, electromechanical) or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience in similar position expected
- Strong affinity with mechanical and thermal simulation
- Applied knowledge in thermal and mechanical design
- Language: English - Professional working efficiency
- Soft skills specific: Solutions driven, Empathy, Communicant, Proactive, Can-Do attitude.
- Knowledge in CAD software: Solidworks. CATIA V5 and SpaceClaim are assets.
- Knowledge of Solidworks Simulation and Flow Simulation are assets.
- Knowledge of Altair Simsolid is an asset.
