Sustainable Light

Schréder acts green in many ways. We develop products that provide “the right lighting” with limited energy consumption.

Sustainable Light

Committed to building a “greener” future

OUR PRIORITY: TO BRING ENERGY CONSUMPTION UNDER CONTROL

All the studies confirm it: the energy consumed by a luminaire during its operating life constitutes the most significant impact of lighting on the environment. Optimising this consumption has always been the ambition and the passion of our development teams.
Energy savings, maximising the efficacy of our products, maintaining their performance over time, etc. constitute our guiding thread. Doing better with less!
Schréder products are developed to comply with the Product Environmental Profile certification (PEP) that fully analyses the whole product life-cycle, from design to recycling.

BEING LOCAL: WE DEVELOP OUR SOLUTIONS WHERE THEY ARE INSTALLED

Our objective has always been to establish ourselves in a country on a sustainable basis. Committed Schréder teams, close to the customers to build a close and long term relationship to fully understand the local environment and needs.
By establishing local teams, we actively participate in the economic activity of the community and contribute to the sustainable development of future generations.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY: TO BE GREEN

Alongside the continuous search for energy efficiency, we are also obviously seeking to optimise the other factors that include our production, distribution and recycling methods of our luminaires.
Schréder has been working on reducing the size of its luminaires for a number of years now, not only as a response to the appearance of new light sources, but particularly to reduce the volume of materials used in manufacturing.
Schréder is also committed to maximising the use of sustainable and recyclable materials such as aluminium and glass.
Our factories are working towards ISO 14001 certification. This assures a better management of the environmental aspects of our activities.

GREEN ATTITUDE

We launched an internal campaign aimed at our 2,600 employees throughout the world to raise their awareness about the adoption of a “green attitude”.
Using “greener” modes of transport, printing documents only when necessary, turning off the lights, favouring video conferences over travel… are all small steps that make a big difference when adopted on a daily basis.
