The ThermiX® concept was developed to optimise several parameters that are involved in the thermal management of LEDs, in order to maintain 80% of the initial luminous flux for a minimum of 60,000 hours, up to a maximum ambient temperature of 35°C.
To maximise the reliability of its LED luminaires, Schréder introduced the LEDSafe® concept, which is based on the principle of a completely sealed photometric engine, to ensure that the photometric performance is maintained over time.
The protector of the Senso luminaire is in extra-clear glass, which optimises the transmission of luminous flux.
The glass has a slightly curved shape to reduce absorption. This increases the luminaire’s performance in luminance levels by 10% compared with a flat non-treated glass protector.
Senso luminaires can be fitted with an independent dimming system.
This important way of reducing energy consumption is capable to induce saving up to 30%.
The programmable levels range from 1 to 5. The different dimming levels are handled daily and automatically adapted according to the length of the night.
The luminous flux is, in effect, reduced in practically the same proportion as the energy consumption.
NB: Contrary to traditional sources, LEDs allow for the variation of intensity at a very low level keeping the same colour temperature and same colour rendering index without losing light efficiency.
The Senso luminaires are equipped with power supplies that ensure 90% efficiency and fulfill Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) requirements and an increased protection against power surges.
The supply current is 350 mA to optimise the efficacy of the LEDs and maximum life time of the equipment.
Each luminaire has a temperature sensor that reduces the power supply by 70% in the event the temperature exceeds the maximum authorised.
Input of 1-10V, allows a user to integrate a dimming system to optimise energy used.
Senso luminaires are designed to meet our FutureProof concept.
Both the photometric engine and the electrical power supply can be replaced on-site to take advantage of any future technological developments.
The Senso luminaires can also incorporate the OWLET remote management system.
This open-source, bidirectional communication system is based on the principle of radio frequency via the ZigBee protocol. It offers numerous advantages:
Energy efficiency ratio
Lamp with small burner
Optical compartment tightness level
Limited upward flux (3%)
Limited mercury content of the light source
Electronics integration
Dimming
Remote management
Mercury free light source
Sustainable and recyclable materials

The Senso luminaires are equipped with the OrientoFlex® photometric system. This system is made up of precisely placed LEDs which are equipped with carefully selected lenses.
The OrientoFlex® also allows the direction and number of LEDs to be varied, based on the required lighting intensity and photometric distribution.
The LEDs are grouped together in modules in the shape of an arm joined to a central axis. Each module itself is positioned depending on the desired photometric distribution.
The system’s flexibility allows for it to be adapted to the specific needs of any project. It can meet any specific lighting need and in particular takes into account the true dimensional aspects of the surrounding environment while reducing unwanted effects such as glare.

(*)Optional(**)The nominal flux is an indicative LED flux @tj 25°C based on LED manufacturer's data. The real output of the luminaire depends on environmental conditions (e.g. temperature and pollution) and the optical efficiency of the luminaire.Nominal flux depends on the type of LED in use and is likely to change in accordance with the continuous and rapid developments in LED technology. To follow the progress of the luminous efficiency of the LEDs used, please visit our website.
The Senso luminaires are equipped with a mounting kit for side-entry or vertical mounting.
As an option, an adjustable inclination mounting kit can be supplied to facilitate photometric adjustments on-site.
Senso in combination with the ”Yoho” family of poles or brackets make an elegant ensemble which is ideally suited to lighting urban roads and streets, residential streets, roundabouts as well as squares and pedestrian areas.
A bracket at the rear means that streets, side-streets and large pavements can be lit using the same luminaire design. The wall bracket allows the lighting of narrow streets as well as any poorly lit areas, meeting all needs of roads and urban lighting.
