 | SUSTAINABLE LIGHTING Acting Green!
The world is going green. Finally!
The future of our planet and all aspects of human activity are today examined through a green filter. Individuals and companies have become aware of the stakes and their responsibilities.
Our job is to offer the right lighting: we also want to speak the right words.
Let us be clear.
We do not wish to enter into a competition where we need to show ourselves as greener than green.
We want to act green.
As an actor in lighting, a source of energy consumption, Schréder is affirming its priorities, responsibilities and also what sets it apart.
Our priority: to bring energy consumption under control.
Our responsibility: to develop products that reduce energy consumption.
What sets us apart: being local.

 | LEDs in urban and street lighting Conscious that we were looking at a technology that will continue to develop, we started research in this area several years ago. Research which resulted in applications and products for all of the segments in which we are present.
LEDs are therefore making a radical impact. “The right lighting” remains our motto. For each segment and for each application, we can offer traditional and LED alternatives, but also explain to our customers why a proposed solution is best suited to a given situation. Because each technology has its own strengths.

 | LEDs - the future of lighting ? LEDs are being hailed as the future of lighting. There is no doubt; LEDs are increasingly present in our
environment. They have a vital role to play in lighting due to their numerous advantages: compact size,
long lifetime, low maintenance requirements, white light, increasing luminous efficacy and extensive
design capabilities for creating colour and dynamic ambiance lighting…
LED technology has reached a point where the luminous efficacy and life expectancy make LEDs ideal
sources for applications where this was not the case as recently as one year ago. They are a major light
source choice for architectural lighting and illumination and are already challenging traditional light
sources in public lighting applications.

 | Lighting and mobility: Schréder, the city’s partner Solving mobility problems in cities is a major challenge for the 21st century. An improvement in mobility is clearly associated with the promotion of public transport among urban dwellers, but what should be done to ensure that these means of transport are used more by the public?
One of the key objectives is to make them more comfortable and safer, and lighting infrastructures play an essential role here.
