| Description | | WOODEN SOLUTIONS FOR DIRECT OR INDIRECT LIGHTING
Designed by Alma Design, the Descobertas is a range of lighting columns with a wooden finish, available in two versions: circular or square section. They are particularly suited to luminaires such as the Alura. The design and finish of the Descobertas makes them ideal for use in contemporary urban environments. They can also be used for lighting parks, playgrounds, rest areas, car parks, etc. The lighting column has a hot-galvanised steel base section. A central steel column reinforcing the entire bearing structure is clad with a wood casing. The wood casing, consisting of glued sections of Kambala, gives a finish which is both aesthetic and extremely solid. Kambala has demonstrated its resistant qualities and durability for centuries, for example in shipbuilding, in the most severe and extreme climatic conditions. After hot-galvanising, all steel elements are treated with a painting process which optimises their anti-corrosion protection and also gives them a very attractive finish. A small hatch situated at the base of the column gives access to the electrical control gear.

Access to the lamp and electrical control gear is obtained by loosening the two captive screws on the plug cover situated on the top cover of the luminaire. After this operation, the cover plug swivels open on a hinge. If the electrical control gear plate is incorporated, it can be easily disconnected by loosening the two captive screws. | |
