Description

DIRECT AND INDIRECT LIGHT

Designed by the Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza, the Aura ensemble is available in two configurations: the Aura DI combining direct and indirect light distribution and the Aura I with exclusively indirect distribution.

The Aura DI is comprised of an upper parabolic reflector made of fibreglass, self coloured white, positioned at the top of the cylindrical-conical aluminium lighting column. A version made of anodised aluminium is available as an option.
A luminaire placed under the parabolic reflector and incorporating two reflectors enables direct and indirect lighting to be combined. On one hand, a reflector provides lighting for the road surface and on the other, a miniaturised µR® micro-reflector) reflector illuminates the parabolic reflector. The lighting column is available in two heights: 6 or 8 metres.

The Aura I is made up of a white upper parabolic reflector made of fibreglass positioned at the top of the lighting column. Lighting is provided by a recessed Terra floodlight placed at the foot of the lighting column.
The lighting column has a height of 6 metres.

Colour of the lighting column: white RAL 9016
Other colours or anodised aluminium finish on request
Other lighting column heights are available.

DIRECT AND INDIRECT LIGHTING WITH WHITE LIGHT

The Aura range offers a double solution with a coherent design efficiently combining direct and indirect lighting.
The two configurations available provide lighting with white light which gives excellent colour rendition.
Indirect lighting, whether or not combined with a light source with direct photometric distribution, is guaranteed to optimise visual comfort.

Materials

PARABOLIC REFLECTOR

The luminaire used in the Aura DI is composed of a crown made of cast aluminium and a dome made of spun aluminium. This dome is provided with a central cupola made of polycarbonate sealed onto the aluminium in order to allow the upper flux to hit the parabolic reflector. aThe protector is available in curved glass or thermo formed acrylic.

Maintenance

The luminaire can be opened without tools by loosening two 1/4-turn screws and tilting the optical compartment downwards.
This operation gives access to the control gear and the two reflectors.
The lamp is accessed by rotating the plug and the control gear plate is removable.

DIRECT AND INDIRECT LIGHTING

The Aura DI provides direct and indirect lighting. A standard reflector is incorporated into the optical compartment of the luminaire while a µR® (micro-reflector) is built in under the dome of the luminaire. This reflector provides indirect lighting via the parabolic reflector. This indirect lighting provides users with a pleasant visual comfort.

INDIRECT LIGHTING ONLY

In the version with indirect lighting only, the Aura I is comprised of a white upper parabolic reflector made of fibreglass. The reflector is illuminated from the foot of lighting column by a recessed Terra floodlight concentrating the luminous flux
on the parabolic reflector in order to minimise any loss. Access to the lamp and the control gear of the Terra floodlight is gained after loosening 4 rapid closure devices.
