Schréder and Pininfarina have combined their know-how for an exceptional project. The Francesca is the result of this project, a project bringing together a world leader in lighting and a designer of international repute. The pure lines of the Francesca are as majestic as Pininfarina’s most beautiful creative successes in the company’s main area of activity, automobile design.
The Francesca is made up of a curved aluminium profile extending into an optical compartment. The foot of the lighting column has an embellishment made of cast aluminium. The Francesca will find numerous applications in the contemporary urban landscape: streets and avenues, public squares, entrances of commercial centres, train station and airport halls, etc.
The Francesca range is available in three versions: a 4.5 metre lighting column, a 6 metre lighting column and a wall bracket.

With the Francesca range, the µR® (micro-reflector) has found a refined and minimalist outward appearance.The Pininfarina designers modelled an urban object which brings perfectly together lighting and harmony of shape. Function and emotion. No superfluous elements, no distracting dazzle, nothing but a curve,a line that expresses all the power of pure creation.

Composed of a curved aluminium profile and a base in cast aluminium,the lighting column extends into an optical compartment. This is composed of a lower protector made of pressed glass, an upper protector and an upper cover made of impact-resistant acrylic or UV-resistant polycarbonate (option). These elements are supported on a cast aluminium body. | |

The control gear is located in the base of the pole and access is via a safety screw. The base of the lighting column and the embellishment are made of cast aluminium with high mechanical resistance. A finishing base made of aluminium is provided. | |

The optical compartment has an IP 66 Sealsafe® tightness level.
Access to the lamp is gained through the upper cover.
The Francesca is fitted with the µR® (micro-reflector). This miniaturised reflector offers the designer exceptional creative liberty and opens the door to new aesthetic forms in the urban landscape. | |  | | WHITE LIGHT: PERFORMANCE AND COMFORT
In addition to its aesthetic features, the µR® (micro-reflector) offers the same high photometric performance as a standard-size reflector used for public lighting. It has been specially developed for use with metal halide lamps with ceramic arc tubes of up to 150 W giving a white light that provides optimum colour rendition. The adjustable position of the lamp enables visual comfort to be optimised. | |
