QUERCUS

Description

PLANT FORMS

Designed by Rotterdam architects Kuiper Compagnons, the Quercus is an ensemble particularly suited to the lighting of streets, parks or public squares, whether in an urban or a rural environment.
The plant-like design of this new lighting concept contributes a hint of nature to the heart of residential areas.
The curved cylindrical-conical lighting column is made from painted galvanised steel.
The luminaire is installed at a height of 5 metres. Other column heights are also available.

Maintenance

RAPID MAINTENANCE

The front of the cover is fitted with a hexagon socket screw which allows the optical compartment to swivel open on a hinge.
This operation gives access to the lamp and the electrical control gear positioned on a plate.

Installation

PRE-CABLING AND MOUNTING

To speed up installation operations, the Quercus luminaire is delivered pre-fitted with 5.5 metres of power cabling.
The Quercus uses a lateral sleeve mounting secured by two screws.

VERSATILITY, EFFICIENCY AND COMFORT

The Quercus is available in numerous combinations of reflectors and light sources (up to 150 W) to suit any type of application.
While white light will probably be preferred for installations in an urban environment, the Quercus can also incorporate high-pressure sodium lamps more commonly used for road applications.
The Quercus is fitted with a slightly opaline protector which optimises visual comfort by diffusing a soft and subtle light.
