| Description | | CONTEMPORARY COLUMN FOR THE CITY
Created by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the Lutecia range was specifically developed for the Scala luminaire.
LARGE MODEL
Designed for the Scala Maxi or Midi luminaire, the Lutecia ensemble – Large model – is made up of a lighting column of a height of between 8 and 10.8 metres for lighting avenues, boulevards, public squares, etc. The cylindrical-conical fluted or smooth lighting column, made of galvanised steel and thermo-coated, is topped by a bracket, single or double, made of cast aluminium with an aluminium tie rod. For lighting pedestrian zones, a configuration with a rear bracket and Mini Scala is also available.

The Lutecia ensemble is also available for the Scala Mini luminaire, for example for lighting pedestrian zones. It is made up of a fluted or smooth cylindrical-conical column made of galvanised steel and thermo-coated, between 4 and 6 metres in height. A single or double bracket made of cast aluminium enables the smallest of the Scala luminaires to be mounted. A wall bracket is also available.

Available in three sizes, the Scala Sealsafe® luminaire (IP 66) may be fitted with various types of reflectors and light sources of up to 400 W: high-pressure sodium, metal halide, metal halide with a ceramic arc tube or even Cosmopolis lamps. This great variety of photometric solutions is a major asset of this luminaire, whose refined design blends perfectly into any urban architectural setting. As an option, a system of louvres makes it possible to control forward and backward light flux.

| Materials | | | | THREE SIZES
The Scala luminaire is available in three sizes: Mini, Midi and Maxi. It is made up of a crown and a transition plate made of cast aluminium surmounted by a dome made of spun aluminium. The optical compartment - supported by the transition plate - is made up of a reflector made of deep drawn, polished and anodised aluminium (or metallised synthetic material) and a protector made of flat glass. A protector made of polycarbonate or slightly rounded acrylic is optional.

| Maintenance | | | | The luminaire is opened, without tools, by loosening one 1/4-turn screw (two for the Maxi version) and tilting the transition plate supporting the Sealsafe® (IP 66) optical unit sideways on a hinge. This operation gives access to the control gear plate and the lamp support plug. Access is identical for the configuration with an integral floodlight (see photo). | |

| INSTALLATION UP TO 12 METRES
The remarkable efficacy and photometric diversity available in the Scala range enables installations to be considered at heights up to 12 metres. The Scala luminaire is designed for lateral or suspended mounting as well as axial suspension on a catenary. Various types of lateral mounting solutions are available (see the following pages).

As an option, to illuminate foliage, the dome of the Scala Midi luminaire canopy may be fitted with an integral floodlight for 35 or 70 W metal halide lamps with ceramic arc tubes. A choice can be made between a symmetrical or asymmetrical reflector (60°) that can rotate through 360° in increments of 45°. The protector is made of clear (asymmetric photometry) or prismatic (symmetric photometry) glass.
