| Description | | LED TECHNOLOGY IN URBAN LIGHTING
Equipped with LEDs, the Azo luminaire combines new technology and photometric performance. This luminaire, developed to light and enhance the Riva - the seafront of Split in Croatia - was designed in collaboration with the architectural studio 3LHD, the lighting designers Nova-lux and the urban furniture designer Numen/For Use. Through its pure lines, its optimised light distribution and its dynamic variation system, this luminaire constitutes an item of street furniture that plays a key role in the development of cities. The Azo luminaire’s timeless design fits into any type of environment, be it a historical centre like Split or a more contemporary and modern landscape. The lighting column is made of hot galvanised steel.

THE RIGHT LIGHTING WITH LEDS
The Azo luminaire has been designed with a new technology for urban lighting. It is the first genuine LED-equipped urban lighting luminaire offering an optimised light distribution. In addition, it diffuses a remarkably warm colour temperature and offers an excellent uniformity of illuminance. One of the distinctive characteristics of LEDs lies in their highly directional flux, offering a light distribution that directs light precisely where it is needed, while ensuring great visual comfort. The modules housing the LEDs are made of painted extruded aluminium with a 5 mm thick polycarbonate protector, which gives the ensemble a high impact resistance.

| Advantages | | | | DYNAMIC LIGHTING AND ENERGY SAVINGS
A dynamic variation system, the Rainbow LED Driver (RLD), controlled using the DALI protocol makes it possible – via lines of three modules – to create various fun effects according to the type of ambiance required. As the modules are managed separately, this system also makes it possible to reduce the energy consumed by varying the intensity of all the modules or by keeping some modules at maximum intensity and others at 30 or 50% intensity. This constitutes an important factor for energy savings and the extension of component life when the lighting is used less intensively.

| Photometry | | | | OPTIMISED LIGHT DISTRIBUTION
LEDs provide a very directional lighting, which requires the utmost precision in their orientation to produce the best photometric performance. Composed of 45 modules (IP 67) that are each equipped with 4 high-power 1.2 W LEDs, the Azo luminaire is the fruit of our engineers’ know-how. The directional nature of the LEDs’ flux combined with the high precision positioning of the modules illuminate precisely the intended spaces with excellent uniformity on the ground. In addition, the LEDs used have the best luminous efficacy of warm white light achieved industrially to date.
WHITE LIGHT AND VISUAL COMFORT
The Azo luminaire incorporates 180 high-power LEDs that provide a remarkable warm white light (3000 K), an undeniable source of visual comfort, with optimal colour rendition. The precise orientation of the LEDs combined with the choice of lenses prevents any glare effects.
