Description

SUBTLE LIGHT IN THE URBAN NIGHT Designed by the light designer Roger Narboni with the collaboration of Michel Tortel, the Dome ensemble has been conceived specifically for lighting urban spaces. The transparent, ribbed corolla of the luminaire twinkles delicately in the street at night. It sheds a gentle light towards the back which subtly emphasises the façades and provides undoubted visual comfort. The Dome ensemble comes in a number of versions: a pole with a single or double bracket, a pole with a rear bracket or a bracket for wall mounting. Whichever configuration is selected, the Dome ensemble provides - by day and particularly by night - a harmonious vision of the city punctuated by the repetition of its rounded, flowing shapes. Depending on the type of application and source used, the Dome ensemble may be installed up to a height of 8 metres. The smooth cylindrical-conical pole is made of galvanised steel and is thermo-coated. The bracket is made of cast aluminium. The Dome luminaire may also be mounted on a catenary for axial suspension. SUBTLE LIGHT The corolla of the Dome luminaire sheds a gentle and subtle light that is in harmony with the elegant design of the ensemble. The nocturnal appearance of the dome luminaire is characterised by this muffled light that punctuates the urban night while providing optimum visual comfort. Materials
		MECHANICAL STURDINESS The Dome luminaire is composed of a transition plate made of die cast aluminium and a cover made of spun aluminium. These two elements are fully protected against corrosion by a heat-treated polyester powder paint coating. The Sealsafe® (IP 66) optical compartment is made up of a sealed flat glass protector positioned over a deep drawn aluminium reflector.

Maintenance
		MAINTENANCE WITHOUT TOOLS Two 1/4-turn screws enable the luminaire to be opened without tools. The lower transition plate of the luminaire supporting the Sealsafe® (IP 66) optical compartment tips and gives access to the lamp holder support plug and the control gear mounted on a removable plate.

Photometry
		APPROPRIATE LUMINOUS PHOTOMETRY The Sealsafe® (IP 66) optical compartment is provided with a lamp holder support plug allowing fine adjustment of the position of the lamp in order to obtain precise light distribution that is appropriate for the site to be illuminated. The transparent corolla is ribbed and composed of impact-resistant acrylic (IK 04).
