KALI

Description

STYLE, SIMPLICITY AND EFFICIENCY

Created by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the Kali is available in two types of configuration, thus providing remarkable photometric flexibility.
The 4-metre version offers an indirect lighting solution, while the 6-metre version combines direct and indirect lighting.
Thanks to this flexibility, it is possible to conceive an urban lighting plan which includes diverse applications – pedestrian areas, pavements, public squares, etc – while maintaining the same aesthetic line.
The cylindrical-conical lighting column is made from galvanised steel.
The timeless design of the Kali allows this ensemble to be integrated into any type of urban environment, whether traditional or contemporary.

PHOTOMETRIC FLEXIBILITY

The Kali luminaire offers the choice between an indirect light distribution solution in a 4 metre version, or a combination
of direct and indirect lighting in a 6 metre version.
The incorporation of a second optical compartment in the top cover makes it possible to obtain excellent photometric performance at an installation height of 6 metres.
The Kali is designed for metal halide with ceramic arc tube lamps up to 150 W.

Materials

ALUMINIUM BODY

The body of the luminaire is made from cast aluminium and fitted with fins which allow part of the luminous flux to escape, thus providing a certain relief for night vision. The optical system’s upper component comprises a reflector on the underside of the top cover which is made from off-white (RAL 9010) glass-fibre reinforced polyester with a Gelcoat coating.
Three cast aluminium arms support the top cover of the luminaire.

Maintenance

MAINTENANCE

Access to the lamp and the lower optical compartment is obtained by loosening 3 screws and then rotating and withdrawing the support to which the optical compartment is fixed.
The electrical control gear is situated in the foot of the lighting column, and is accessible via a hatch.

Installation

MOUNTING

The Kali 4 and Kali 6 luminaires use a post-top mounting secured by six M8 screws.

INDIRECT LIGHTING - VISUAL COMFORT

The optical compartment providing indirect lighting is comprised of a deep drawn, polished and anodised reflector and a protector made from tempered prismatic glass.
The lower optical compartment is integrated within the body of the luminaire.
Focusing has been specially optimised to limit loss of luminous flux.
In the 6-metre version, the Kali has two optical compartments.
In addition to the lower optical compartment, a second is integrated into the top cover.
This is closed by a protector made from flat tempered glass. It is fitted onto a hinged transition plate held in place by two ¼ turn screws giving access to the lamp and electrical control gear.
