TMB

| |
| Description | | Lighting for emergency areas or exits making them easier to locate. The TMB floodlight is a recessed floodlight available in two versions depending on its application: • Version 1: equipped with a 150 W metal halide lamp with ceramic arc tube, the TMB is permanently lit in order to produce a «curtain of light». • Version 2: equipped with a 300 W halogen lamp producing on-demand light only in case of fire in order to increase the visibility of emergency exits.
The body of the luminaire is made from cast aluminium and protected with a special paint developed to resist the most severe conditions encountered in tunnels. The floodlight includes either a narrow beam reflector in metallised aluminium (version 1), or an extensive distribution reflector in anodised aluminium (version 2). The prismatic protector is made from tempered glass or polycarbonate and sealed onto the body of the luminaire. Electricity is supplied through a compression gland made from synthetic materials that comply with anti-fire standards (V0 and 0 % halogen).
| Advantages | |
- Reliability, robustness and a high level of tightness
- Very high protection against corrosion using a specific treatment identical to the one applied to luminaires
| | | | The TMB luminaire provides lighting for emergency exits, and in particular is used in the Mont Blanc tunnel. It has been optimised in order to comply with the environmental requirements of tunnels. | | | | The vertically installed TMB luminaires are permanently lit in order to create an easily identifiable «curtain of light». In case of fire, the powerful lateral lighting provided by the TMB floodlights increases the visibility of the emergency exits. | |

| Maintenance | | The lamp is accessed by a rapid activation of the two closing levers situated at the back of the floodlight and by releasing the electrical terminal. The optical compartment does not require any maintenance. The high tightness level does not allow dust or humidity to penetrate into the floodlight. To maintain the original photometric performance of the TMB floodlight, it is sufficient to clean the external surfaces. | |
| Installation | | The luminaire is installed using two stainless steel mounting screws situated on either side of the floodlight. The positioning of the lamp is preset at the factory.
Electrical installation Nominal voltage: 230V / 50Hz In the version with a metal halide lamp with ceramic arc tube, the control gear plate is integrated into the floodlight.
