Tianjin Lighting Schréder Co., Ltd (hereinafter called TLS) is a member of the Schréder Group GIE that specializes in manufacturing outdoor lighting.
In 1987, Schreder GIE entered China and TLS was registered in the Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Area. In May 1988, TLS formally started production.
TLS production exploits the sophisticated technology of the Schréder Group GIE. Photometric designs strictly follow the CIE (International Commission on Illumination) standard while the selection of lighting components and seal design conforms to the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standard. At present, TLS products are applied in architecture floodlighting, road lighting, tunnel lighting, industrial lighting, high mast lighting, large ground lighting etc.
TLS products are sold all over China, for local projects and for some very important and special national projects.
These luminaires are widely appreciated by customers thanks to their high-quality and good features such as elegant design, vibration resistance, corrosive resistance, thermal and aerodynamic resistance, the Sealsafe® technology, outstanding longevity, high photometric performance and easy maintenance.
TLS pays more attention to product quality, research and development and after-sale service. Many important national projects use TLS products, for example:
- the first express way in China–Jing Jin Tang Express Way, funded by a loan from the World Bank;
- the three express ways Cheng Yu, Shen Ben, Taijiu, Hu Ning;
- Beijing West Railway Station;
- Asian Game Village;
- Zhong Nan Hai;
- Beijing second and third circuit roads.
Many important places in the capital, Beijing are illuminated by TLS products:
- Guangzhou Zhujiang Tunnel;
- Ningbo Yongjiang Tunnel;
- Shanghai Dapu Road Tunnel;
- Zhujiang Banzhang Mountain Tunnel;
- Shengzhen Wutong Mountain Tunnel;

Since the establishment of TLS, production levels and profits have been continually increasing. In 2000, the sales revenue reached 80 million (rmb). For several years running, TLS won the “Outstanding Profit Enterprise of Tianjin” and “Top-100 Enterprise of TEDA” awards.
