Description

Luminaire for illuminating railway station platforms, underground stations, shopping arcades, etc., consisting of an aluminium profile (rectangular or oval section) with a polished and metallised internal surface.
The structured hardened glass protector is sealed onto the body of the luminaire with a silicone gasket. The luminaire is placed in an anodised, extruded aluminium profile serving also as a cable tray. Different configurations are available.

  1. Outer claw for various uses.
  2. Claw in the form of a DIN rail. Prewiring receptacle and clamp mounting.
  3. Structured hardened glass protector; excellent wear resistance.
  4. In tilted position, the luminaire can be pulled out of the profile.
  5. Concealed opening system.
  6. Silicone gasket sealing the glass and giving the optical compartment an IP 66 tightness level.
  7. Die cast aluminium alloy or elastomer plug.
  8. Die cast aluminium alloy or polycarbonate side-covers.
  9. Extruded aluminium body whose internal surface - metallised or polished - serves as a reflector.
  10. Access to the lamp:
    - Compact fluorescent: one of the plugs holds the lampholder; access is gained by pulling out the other plug to avoid any contact with the live parts;
    - Fluorescent tube: the two plugs hold a lampholder; possibility of access via the two plugs.
  11. Claw for attaching the closing sheet metal plate outside the luminaire.
  12. Grooves provided for attaching the control gear plate.
  13. Upper receptacle for cables (surface area 2 x 32.5 cm²).
  14. T-slot for suspension.

Maintenance

  The opening system is concealed in the profile.

Photometry

  The efficiency achieved by the source and luminaire combination is over 70%. Excellent uniformity. Glare is avoided thanks to the frosted glass.
