 | AMETISTA
Public lighting for lamps of up to 150 W (Ametista 2) or 400 W (Ametista 3). The luminaire consists of a body and frame in painted aluminium alloy. The body houses the deep-drawn, polished and anodised aluminium reflector and the removable control gear plate. The curved tempered glass protector is sealed to the frame. A silicone gasket fitted in the groove on the frame ensures the IP 65 tightness level of the luminaire. Tool-free access is gained to the lamp and control gear by undoing three stainless steel closing clips (two for the Ametista 2). The protective bowl and frame swivels around two integrated hinges and remains suspended from the body.

 | AZO
LED TECHNOLOGY IN URBAN LIGHTING
Equipped with LEDs, the Azo luminaire combines new technology and photometric performance. This luminaire, developed to light and enhance the Riva - the seafront of Split in Croatia - was designed in collaboration with the architectural studio 3LHD, the lighting designers Nova-lux and the urban furniture designer Numen/For Use. Through its pure lines, its optimised light distribution and its dynamic variation system, this luminaire constitutes an item of street furniture that plays a key role in the development of cities. The Azo luminaire’s timeless design fits into any type of environment, be it a historical centre like Split or a more contemporary and modern landscape. The lighting column is made of hot galvanised steel.

THE RIGHT LIGHTING WITH LEDS
The Azo luminaire has been designed with a new technology for urban lighting. It is the first genuine LED-equipped urban lighting luminaire offering an optimised light distribution. In addition, it diffuses a remarkably warm colour temperature and offers an excellent uniformity of illuminance. One of the distinctive characteristics of LEDs lies in their highly directional flux, offering a light distribution that directs light precisely where it is needed, while ensuring great visual comfort. The modules housing the LEDs are made of painted extruded aluminium with a 5 mm thick polycarbonate protector, which gives the ensemble a high impact resistance.

 | LEDs - the future of lighting ? LEDs are being hailed as the future of lighting. There is no doubt; LEDs are increasingly present in our
environment. They have a vital role to play in lighting due to their numerous advantages: compact size,
long lifetime, low maintenance requirements, white light, increasing luminous efficacy and extensive
design capabilities for creating colour and dynamic ambiance lighting…
LED technology has reached a point where the luminous efficacy and life expectancy make LEDs ideal
sources for applications where this was not the case as recently as one year ago. They are a major light
source choice for architectural lighting and illumination and are already challenging traditional light
sources in public lighting applications.
