Istinye Park – Istanbul “Outdoor lighting for the biggest shopping mall in Europe”
In September 2007, COMELEC, the export company of the Schréder Group GIE, in collaboration with its local distributor, LITPA Lighting, successfully realised the outdoor lighting of the biggest shopping centre in Europe, located in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Istinye Park project is an impressive reference – the park covers approximately 400,000m² with commercial and residential properties – a testimony to Schréder expertise and quality products.
Commerical areas
The commerical zone is composed mainly of two sections; the shopping mall and the shopping streets covering a total area of 87,000m² with over 300 retail stores, around 40 cafes and restaurants, movie, theatres, a food court, market, fitness centre and recreational area. One specific shopping street only includes high-end famous brand name stores like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Céline, Emporio Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Fendi, Dior,.....
Schréder was chosen to provide the outdoor lighting for the main part of the project, with luminaires that perfectly integrate comtemporary architecture to satisfy the project requirements for a modern, harmonious design.
The luminaires installed in the commercial areas include:
• ATOM with 2x150W Metal Halide lamps and colour changing LEDs (18 units) for the mall’s main entrance;
• FRANCESCA with 70W Metal Halide lamps (23 units) for the shopping street
• NEOS+TEKTON with 150W Metal Halide lamps (34 ensembles) for the car park entrances and exits;
• SEPALE+ALIZE with 250W Metal Halide lamps (55 units on 36 posts) for the road in front of the main entrance.
Residential areas
The following luminaires were installed for the on-going construction of 400 buildings in the residential areas:
• FURYO 3 equipped with 150W HPS lamps (112 units) for the roads and
• ALURA fittings with ATLANTIS bollards, (55 units + 36 units) for decorative lighting and gardens.
Istinye Park is a perfect reference that illustrates the wide range of Schréder products, in this case, functional, urban and floodlights which are the most representative ranges.
This was a great opportunity for Schréder to highlight the performance, quality and innovation of its products.
