CRISTELLA

Description

THE CITY SEEN THROUGH A PRISM OF LIGHT

Thanks to its bowl in prismatic glass, the Cristella plays a key role in the creation of a luminous ambiance in cities while guaranteeing an excellent level of photometric performance.
Designed by Marc Aurel, this ensemble comes in a variety of configurations: as a column with either single or twin posttop mounted luminaires; as a column with one or two luminaires suspended from a single or double bracket; or as a column with the upper luminaire suspended from a single bracket plus a second luminaire mounted at a lower level on a rear bracket. These configurations are particularly suited to lighting large urban thoroughfares, with the suspended luminaire lighting the road while the luminaire on the rear bracket illuminates the pavement.
Where bracket arms are used, they are fitted with a ball-and-socket joint allowing the inclination of the luminaire to be adjusted. These various configurations make the Cristella a lighting tool that provides aesthetic coherence between city centres and ring roads or access roads. The cylindrical-conical pole is made from thermo-lacquered galvanised steel while the bracket arms are made from thermolacquered aluminium. A base section in cast aluminium covers the foot of the pole.

AMBIANCE AND PERFORMANCE

The Cristella is an urban lighting luminaire made from glass and aluminium. By day, the prismatic glass plays with a multitude of reflections and at night, it structures the light to diffuse it better. While the Cristella is a luminaire which creates atmosphere, every model also offers a high level of photometric performance. There are two possible configurations: post-top or suspended mounting. Both offer photometric solutions adapted to their application.

Materials

GLASS AND ALUMINIUM

The Cristella’s bowl is made from pressed sodalime glass. Its truncated surface is structured while the top part is made from heat-tempered glass. The body of the luminaire is made from aluminium with a structured surface identical to that of the glass bowl.

Photometry

FLEXIBLE PHOTOMETRY

Installed post-top, the Cristella is available in several configurations:
- Indirect symmetrical or asymmetrical light distribution. The optical compartment is composed of a lower reflector and an upper reflector.
- Direct light distribution with an upper reflector.
For the suspended mounting, the optical compartment provides direct symmetrical light distribution. In this case, the reflector is fixed under the upper part of the bowl and houses a lamp in a vertical position.
